Bought these with another set of earphones (non-apple brand) for iPod Touch 16GB. These were cheaper in price, but much better in sound quality. These sound very similar to the Apple branded earphones in timber and clarity. When compared to the Apple earphones, sounds like this one has a 'bass-boost'. Sounds pretty strong in that lower range, but without distortion. One star off for extra weight on one ear-bud (from the mic) always feeling like it wants to fall out of my ear. Never 'felt' like that with original Apple earbuds, even with the mic & volume rocker. Wife had similar complaint. Also, pick-up by mike seems fine. Quality is fine - no falling apart issues. Will buy these again.
Update Jul 11: I'll have to downgrade to 3 stars based on durability - in general just an average set of earphones even with the cheap price. One ear bud & speaker separated from the housing after little over a year of light use. (It broke coming out of a pocket - never had an issue carrying Apple branded ear buds in my pocket, only speakers going bad.) Not the most durable, but considering a tenth of the price for OEM product that only lasts 2-3 years for me, and if you're not an audiophile and don't mind having only average sound quality, it might be a value for some.

Considering these headphones are quite cheap, I'm rather pleased with how well they seem to be working out. Like one of the previous reviewers, I bought these to work with Skype and I know they work with the iPod Touch's voice memos app that comes pre-installed. The recording sound quality doesn't do very well just hanging from your ear, but if you clip the part with the mic closer to your mouth, it works very well indeed. The only thing keeping me from giving it a five star rating is that one of the earphones wasn't secured well into the black shell, but it's a very simple fix. Just glue it back in. For a pair of earphones so cheap, though, AND with a mic, it's well worth the price. I'm thinking of buying a second pair when these finally break.

I bought these to use with Skype on a 2nd Generation Ipod Touch. I am quite happy with them for this purpose. Sound quality is good and while the person on the other end could tell I was using "something different" they advised I was still loud and clear. I do still switch to a more expensive brand name earbud when listening to music. They were good enough that I purchased a second set for my wife.

When I received the product, I was pretty disappointed. I mean even it is so cheap, u cannot accept an broken earphones. I am not going to send it back. I think it is not worth it. Anyway the sound is extremely bad! If u want to have some nice one, than don't buy this product. Seriously spend some more money! Or better SAVE IT!!!!!!!

Purchased this product because I wanted an extra pair of earphones for my Iphone/Ipad. I needed one with a mic and good sound. It was cheap so I didn't expect a lot. Even with my low expectations it still disappointed me. The sound is terrible! Sound is hollow, no bass at all and like you're in a tunnel. Don't get these. If they were free you still probably wouldn't use them.
