Amazing camera, amazing images Jun 30, 2011
By Eugene Park Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3SYDW0SXWZAB0 I purchased the HDfox watch a few months ago for the purposes of shooting a short film. This camera is not the obvious choice for shooting a film, as it has no viewfinder or manual settings. You pretty much get what you get, in terms of the image and settings. That said, once you figure out the best conditions in which to shoot, you can do a lot of amazing things. Also, because the watch is so small (and undetectable), you can get pretty creative in where and how you shoot.
The best part of this camera, in my opinion, is the unique quality of the images it produces. I'm not sure of all the technical details, but to many people, including filmmakers and film students, the images I was able to capture with this camera look almost indistinguishable from 8mm or old 16mm film stock. I've included some sample footage from my film so you can judge for yourself. Of course, these images are compressed and on you computer screen. The true test is to see these images projected. I had the opportunity to see this recently at a public screening of my film, and the images hold up!

Review with HD video sample clip Feb 11, 2011
By MikeRodwell Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1Y2AARDLG9TP3 Before I bought this, I was very doubtful on the performance and video recording quality. It's a pity there were no video footage samples at the time I got mine. So here it is, a short clip of the video footage from this watch camera while waiting for the bus in NYC.
The video quality is very very good - much better than the watch cameras footage I found on youtube. The ones on youtube were grainy, jerky, and out of focus. I have no regrets on choosing this more expensive watch for the HD quality on top of the cheap china knock offs. The video is at 1280x720P, framerate is smooth, and image definition is very sharp. I had to process the clip on imovie to shrink the file size so that I can upload it onto amazon. This is the closest I could get to the original with slight loss in video quality and reduced framerate (original was 30, now its 25).
The watch itself looks very cool, build quality nice and sturdy. On arrival, I had to make a trip to the shop to get the wrist band adjusted. Operating this 007 gadget is simple and quite straight forward once you study the instructions carefully. Transferring to my mac is no problem - the harddisk in the watch is basically a conventional flash drive.
The Sphere gadget technology folks took the audio recording feature out which legalizes spy gadgets like this. I did some research online and the info concur. So using this watch is legal - even when you get caught surreptitiously recording someone else!
Overall a great tool for fun and for anything you can imagine.

Sphere watch camera Mar 12, 2011
By Javier Salabarria A spy watch camera that discretely blends into your daily outfit. The camera lens is virtually invisible making it a great choice for covert pictures. Here's some comments for the tech-savy users- Video: -Video resolution is real HD 1280*720P (p means progressive). There are plenty of products out there labeled with HD but are actually software manipulated from 640*480. -Video is not jerky, but not perfect. Frames per second is 30 -recorded file is in AVI so it plays on my WMP -I recorded a 1 hour video and I still had less than 1GB of free memory left -it automatically saves a different file every 30minutse Pictures: -It's in a resolution that I think is unnecessarily too large (4032*3024) resulting in a enormous file size -picture are clear, colors are deep, but you need some care to for horizontal alignment -it can be hard to know what you are shooting when there isn't a viewfinder transferring files: -it comes with a cable that plugs into a hidden slot (exposed by unscrewing a knob on the side) -its not USB2.0 the watch: -looks amazing!
Personally, I think it's the best spy watch out there. It's an ideal camera for situations where you want to collect evidence legally.

Video spy watch Feb 20, 2011
By D. Dix This item is a fantastic tool for undercover surveillance. Here's a short breakdown of the pros and cons: PROS: - looks amazing, matches my suit perfectly like a $5000 watch! NO joke! - easy to operate. You will need some slight background knowledge of computers. You will have to know how to move files from a flash drive etc. but that's about it. Everything is plug and play. - Video quality is marvelous: Full 720p, real HD, at a flowing frame rate of 30fps. I am very surprised a watch like this can shoot HD video. The quality matches the quality of the video mode of my 1-year old NIKON DC cam. - 4GB storage: plenty of space for the large video files. I put a 500MB folder of my office-work documents and use it as my digital briefcase for work! - It came with 2 transfer cables which meant I could keep one at work, one at home. - Still picture quality is in high resolution and very clear... but make sure you shoot it when you are very still or it'll blur up. - The time works like a real watch... it isn't fake which I thought it would be! - Accidentally dropped it a couple of times from table height and it is still working fine.
CONS: - the watch automatically turns off the status light after 20 seconds of inactivity. It says in the manual this is to increase the 'covertness'. I can see why they did this, but without the status light, it can sometimes be confusing whether the watch is recording or not. To check the status, you have to press the button to display the status light for 20 seconds. I wished that this feature can be toggled on or off. - The watch could be smaller in size and lighter in weight.
Final verdict - this is a well designed first-class spy watch. It is worth every dollar. Highly recommended for spy enthusiasts.

Clear video quality and does what it claims Jan 13, 2011

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2PXZUWCDM8BOE Hi all! Here is a video of me lining up during christmas shopping at the mall. This is just a short clip to show you what you can expect from the recording feature in this watch. The video quality is pretty good and the hidden camera in the watch 'scarily' unnoticeable! This thing comes in a nice gift box and looks very elegant. I looked around the internet for quite a while for a spy watch. My cousin bought a cheap made-in-china version and broke the second day we used it. That's pretty much why I got these.
The price is ok for what it is, considering it does not record sound which I wish it did. I've done some research and found a few articles discussing the legality of spy products (I wouldn't let one of these come near my wife) and there has been rumors that hidden cameras like these spy watches with sound recording are illegal (something to do with eavesdropping). Anyway, since I didn't want to be caught in the streets for videoing something for 'fun', I played safe and got these.
Saving video files onto the computer is easy, the watch is basically a hard disk with 4 gigabyte of ROM space. I save my work files in there too and bring it to work as my daily storage media. It comes with 2 cables so I keep one at home and one at work. Operating the video and picture recording functions can be quite tedious because it has this 'power saving mode' that turns the LED status light off after several seconds to keep the watch covert. Just read the instructions manual carefully before you use it.
One important note: you won't be able to use this thing out of the box because you'll need to take it to the shop to get the links of watchband adjusted to your wrist size.
Overall a decent watch that has a nice 'hidden' function!
